Universal Laboratory Abu Dhabi (UADL) is an Independent Materials Testing Agency established in 2008 and is located in Musaffah M-37 of Abu Dhabi. The Laboratory is equipped with the most modern and computerized equipments like Universal Testing Machine (for steel tests), Tensile Testing Machine (for tensile & elongation properties of various specialized materials), Optical Emission Spectrometer for chemical analysis of steel and other iron, copper & aluminum based compounds), Compression Machine etc. and run by a management having suitably qualified members with over two decades of experience in managing Independent Testing Laboratories of its kind. The organization operates on a Quality Management System based on the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and has been certified for compliance with registration number RQ 971/6078.

UADL has the facilities to test soil, concrete, asphalt, grout, adhesives, polymers, plastic, wood, paint, concrete constituents like admixtures, water, cement, aggregates etc. Various tests on rock, clay, steel etc shall also be carried out.

UADL has the facility to conduct on site testing & inspections like, sampling and testing of fresh concrete while placing, casting of specimens, curing (28 days in water in the lab) and conduct tests like, Rapid Chloride Permeability, Initial Surface Absorption, Water Impermeability, Water Absorption and Sulphate / Chloride Contents etc.

The facility includes various on site soil tests like Plate Load Test, site CBR, Field Density for compaction etc.

Quality Assessment of existing structures like bridge, high rise buildings etc for concrete strength and other parameters like Chloride Permeability, Carbonation Depth, Chloride and Sulphate Contents etc shall also be undertaken.
