Chess Boxing Club Berlin

The fusion of chess and boxing to form the new sport of chess boxing constantly brings new experiences for coaches, athletes and spectators. Of course we practice a lot of boxing in the club and of course our members play a lot of chess at home or on the go. But that alone doesn't make a chess boxer. Only the combination of the two sports in training and in combat creates the chess box magic. Beads of sweat on the chessboard, sandbag exercises next to white and black women, medicine ball shocks over towers, chess clocks in the boxing ring - all of this is part of our standards. We are therefore working with boxing trainers (which, of course, chess), and we let us analyze chess coaches (which, sure, boxing) ... but we also have the first chess boxer who ever both disciplines in combination taught - and it still does. So it happens that some days of the week we only do boxing training and chess boxing on other days. We don't train pure chess together - the athletes do this on their own, together or alone on the computer.
