Equator Bottlers Limited (EBL) is based in Kisumu, Kenya and was established in 1966. Equator Bottlers is a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA).
CCBA represents the creation of one of the largest bottlers in the Coca-Cola system and the number one bottler in Africa. CCBA produces and sells 40% of all the Coca-Cola volumes on the African content. There are more than 30 bottling plants across the CCBA territories.
Equator Bottlers serve's approximately 6.2 million consumers and covers a territory of approximately 15,585 sq km. The first expansion of the organisation was carried out early in the year 2011 which involved relocating from the plant’s site at the centre of the Central Business District in Kisumu to a new state of the art plant off Airport Road, Nkrumah Road.
The company's retail business comprises of over 20,000 outlets. The bottler is in the business of bottling, distribution and marketing of Coca-Cola range of soft drinks in returnable glass bottles of sizes 200ml, 300ml, 500ml, 1 litre in the counties of Kisumu, Kakamega, Kericho, Bomet, Siaya, Busia and Vihiga. The Company also distributes other outsourced alternative beverages in Cans 330ml and Non-Returnable PET(Plastic) Dasani, Minute Maid and other carbonated Soft Drinks.
